On Monday conservative commentator Candace Owens took the gloves off in a war of words with rapper Cardi B. The writer of the song “WAP”—which stands for “Wet Ass Pussy”±attacked Owens for having an “identity crisis” due to her interracial marriage. Owens responded that Cardi B should “stop reading your DNC script.”
The drama appeared to start in a string of odd profanity-laced videos where Cardi B speculated that Owens was having an “identity crisis” because of her relationship with her white husband and implied Owens did not care about black people.
“She has an identity crisis. Just because she’s black, doesn’t mean she give a fuck about blacks,” Cardi B raved off-camera in her video after accusing Owens’s father-in-law of being part of an organization she compared to an “upper-class KKK in the United Kingdom.”
Owens defended her family from the former stripper by saying her face must not be in the video frame because “she is reading a script.”
“You’re going to tell me she’s just not going to show her face in all these videos? She shows her face no matter what, no matter what she looks like,” Owens said. “So Cardi B, stop hiding. Stop reading your DNC script. You look ridiculous.”
Owens then ridiculed Cardi B by using a toy sheep as a prop while impersonating the rapper to poke fun at her over-the-top Instagram videos.
The grudge started on Sunday night after Owens posted a clip of her appearance on “The Ben Shapiro Show: Sunday Special.” Owens fired shots over the bow by calling Cardi B “illiterate” and explained that she was being used to gain black support for the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“It is one of the biggest insults. If black Americans are not insulted by the fact that Joe Biden, who has been hiding in his basement, you know, for the entire year, made an appearance to come out because he was going to do an interview with Cardi B. Do we have nothing better to offer?” Owens said in the video she posted on Twitter.
“[Joe Biden], you are pandering. You look at Cardi B’s Instagram, and you see she has millions of followers, and you think, ‘OK, this is an illiterate person, and if I appeal to this illiterate person’ … ‘They think she’s cool,’” Owens explained. “’She’s hip just by sitting here and taking this interview. Black people will vote for me.’ It’s basically saying, ‘black people, you are stupid, you are dumb, and you are so foolish.'”
Owens was citing the interview last month for Elle magazine in which Cardi B stretched her political legs to speak with Biden. Ms. B told the Democratic nominee about her concerns “as a black woman” for the danger her two-year-old daughter might be in by simply living in America.
Cardi B responded to the accusation that she was being used by the former vice president to pander to black voters. She claimed her sister, Hennessy Carolina, and her sister’s friend got into an argument with what she labeled “racist MAGA supporters” during an outing to the Hamptons as an example of the frequency of racism in the country.

The feud continued on both of their Instagram and Twitter accounts Monday, where Owens called out Cardi B’s hypocrisy over her support of defunding police and negative assessment of the country she became rich living in.
