MERRIAM-WEBSTER DICTIONARY TO CHANGE DEFINITION OF ‘RACISM’

American dictionary Merriam-Webster will change their definition of racism to include the mention of systematic oppression.

The change came after Kennedy Mitchum, a recent college graduate, contacted the publishers to inform them that their definition was out of date.

The old definition read as: “a doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principals; a political or social system founded on racism.”
