Chirlane McCray, the wife of New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, belives that a New York City free of police officers would be something akin to “nirvana.”

In an interview with TIME magazine, McRay said that the abolition of police would be “a utopia that we are nowhere close to getting to.”
