Twitter permanently bans James O’Keefe after his bombshell exposé on corruption at CNN

On Thursday, Twitter permanently suspended conservative journalist and Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe after he released the third installment of undercover videos exposing the overt left-wing bias of cable news network CNN.

Twitter claimed, without evidence, that O’Keefe was “violating the Twitter Rules on platform manipulation and spam.”

“As outlined in our policy on platform manipulation and spam, ‘You can’t mislead others on Twitter by operating fake accounts,’ and ‘you can’t artificially amplify or disrupt conversations through the use of multiple accounts,’” Twitter said.

Ben Shapiro tweeted: “So Twitter has banned James O’Keefe for reporting on CNN by using long-utilized undercover techniques; Facebook has barred a story about Patrisse Cullors’ house for reporting in a way that is frequently used. This isn’t about barring methods. It’s about barring content.”

O’Keefe immediately released a statement stating that he was suing the platform, calling their statement accusing him of “operating fake accounts” false.

“I am suing Twitter for defamation because they said, I, James O’Keefe, ‘operated fake accounts.’ This is false, this is defamatory, and they will pay,” O’Keefe said. “Section 230 may have protected them before, but it will not protect them from me. The complaint will be filed Monday.”

Donald Trump Jr. responded to Twitter’s latest campaign to censor conservatives by posting to Twitter: “In case you haven’t figured out how it works by now… @CNN spreads propaganda to elect Democrats [and] then @Twitter runs interference to protect CNN. They’re all on the same team.”

“After the latest round of hidden camera videos embarrassing to CNN were released, @JamesOKeefeIII has been permanently banned from Twitter,” journalist Andy Ngo wrote on Twitter. “The @Project_Veritas account was also recently banned. This is how big tech works with liberal corporate media to take down challengers.”

O’Keefe released video footage this week of CNN’s Technical Director Charlie Chester, who claimed that the network worked to get former President Donald Trump out of office and that they deliberately create “propaganda.”

Chest made the following statements:

“Look what we did, we [CNN] got Trump out. I am 100% going to say it, and I 100% believe that if it wasn’t for CNN, I don’t know that Trump would have got voted out…I came to CNN because I wanted to be a part of that.”

“It’s going to be our [CNN’s] focus. Like our focus was to get Trump out of office, right? Without saying it, that’s what it was, right? So, our next thing is going to be climate change awareness.”

“[Trump’s] hand was shaking or whatever, I think. We brought in so many medical people to tell a story that was all speculation — that he was neurologically damaged, and he was losing it. He’s unfit to — you know, whatever. We were creating a story there that we didn’t know anything about. That’s what — I think that’s propaganda.”

Chester went on to say the network’s reporters manipulate people into saying what the reporters want them to say and that the network, for the most part, puts people on television who have “a proven track record of taking the bait.”

On Thursday, O’Keefe released videos showing Chester saying that the network was “trying to help BLM” and appeared to suggest that the race of individuals involved in crimes played a part in how much coverage the incident received on the network.
