Little Krampus' Gift Shop

You are awakened by the placid taps the snowflakes make on your bedroom window, almost as if gently reminding you of what time of year it is - as if you could forget. Your legs swing rightward from your bed as you dash out of your pale blue chambers and into the hearth-lit living room, where your presents await you. As your knees meet the wooden floor, you are already pulling on the ribbon atop one of the gift boxes, euphoric to see what's inside it. Finally, your gaze meets its contents: my orbicular head, staring right back at you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
